Ayurvedic Kansa Vatki Foot Bowl Massage

Writer's picture: Fiona BowdenFiona Bowden

Just the other week I was lucky enough to take part in an Ayurvedic Kansa Vatki Foot Bowl Massage Course.

It was an early start for me and I flew to Auckland for the day and then flew back again at the end of the day back to Wellington.

I was blessed that day as everything thing was on time  Planes departed and arrived on time.  Was feeling very grateful for this.

It was great to reconnect with some fellow reflexologists who also share in a passion for learning new skills to do with the feet.

Mary Matthews (all the way from Perth Australia)

was our skilled tutor for the day and it was great to learn and experience for myself how it feels to give and receive a session using Ghee and coconut oil.

This is a great new skill to have in my practitioners kit and I look forward to sharing my new found skills and helping other people to relax and enjoy the benefits of this amazing therapy that integrates working with the marmas and the chakras on the foot and my tutor advised  that people can get good relaxation after a session and sleep well and I can personally vouch for this.

For my personal tool kit I have enjoyed learning a technique which works right up to below the knee.
